Aletha Kalish moved to Tucson as a child in 60s and has pretty much lived here ever since. Aletha and David met in college and will celebrate their 50th wedding aniversay in June, 2021. (Obviously, Aletha was a child bride!)
Aletha has worked in retail sales in Southern California and here in Tucson, including at the family business, Speed Auto Upholstery. She also works at the UofA concessions as a manager during the athletic events—when they start up again. Her third endeavor is a mobile DJ business where she spins tunes for dancing and enjoyment. When we are able to resume our community cookouts, she will have the music playing. For the last 16 years, Aletha has been quite active as a REALTOR® at Long Realty.
The Kalishs moved to The Foothills Clusters in 1978, just before their second child was born, and have lived here ever since. As the original owners of their home and the second family to move onto the 3500 block of Marshall Gulch, they have seen many changes in the neighborhood. A few years ago Aletha decided it was time to quit sitting on the sidelines of the community. She has been on the board ever since serving as President or Vice-President.
Aletha plans to keep The Foothills Clusters moving forward, not only as a subdivision, but as a community made of people who care about where they live and the neighbors who live near us.
